Placing an Order on this Site

At this time, the only financial transactions that can occur using the shopping cart at  ousports.poweredbyedmap.com are to enroll in a course offered at this site. As additional goods or services become available for purchase on this site, the following guidelines will be updated to account for the different types of possible activities.

  • How do I know if there are openings in a course that is being offered at a specific time?

Though course enrollments are capped, as long as the Add to Cart button is visible, you are eligible to enroll in the course. Once the maximum number of enrollments have been processed for a course, the Add to Cart button is replaced by a Waitlist button.

  • What do I do if the course I wish to take has a Waitlist button next to it?

When a course displays the Waitlist button, you may choose to see if the next scheduled offering of the course is available. (Courses may start monthly.) If the next start date is convenient for you, enroll in that course.

If you wish to be put on the Waiting List for a course, clicking the Waitlist button brings up a form for you to complete to make that request.

  • Will my credit card be charged if I request to be added to a waiting list?

No. The email message that you receive confirming your request to be added to the waitlist explicitly states that your credit card will not be charged until you are able to successfully enroll in a course.

  • How will I know if I am accepted into a course for which I am waitlisted?

You will receive an email message instructing you to return to the course catalog and register for the course. Only when there are openings in a course will you be asked to provide credit card information.

Once you have enrolled for a course, the course's title will be listed on your My Courses page. Until 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time for a course, a Withdraw button displays next to the course. Should you wish to withdraw from the course, simply click this Withdraw button. Your registration for the course will be canceled and you will be eligible to receive a refund for the amount you paid, less a $50 processing fee.See the following important note about the process.

Note: The confirmation email you receive after registering for a course will include a credit card transaction number. Be sure to save this message; you will need to provide the transaction number for us to process your request for a refund. 

Once we receive a system notification of your withdrawal, we will contact you via the email address on your account to request the credit card transaction number provided you in the confirmation email you received when registering for the course. We will be unable to process the refund without this information. Please allow up to four (4) business days for the credit to be processed and issued by ED MAP once you provide the transaction number. It may take several days longer for your credit card issuer to post the credit to your account. This refund will be credited back to the credit card account you used to pay for your course.

Once the Withdraw button is no longer available  – because it is less than 48 hours prior to the course's schedule start time  – no refunds will be given regardless of whether or not you have started the course.

Note: You can view the scheduled start date and time for any course in the catalog by highlighting the course title.

Shipping/Delivery Information

Currently only internet-based services -- specifically certificate courses that are offered asynchronously online -- are available for purchase at this Web site. These services are not shipped and therefore are not subject to any shipping charges. The courses will be available to registered students at the scheduled start time that is specified in the course description. The course description can be found by clicking on the name of the course as it appears in the catalog that is located at the bottom of the Courses page.
