Michael is currently the Vice President of Venue Marketing for Thermopylae Sciences + Technology in Washington, D.C. He was appointed in 2010 to the newly-created non-government business development arm of the company. His department is responsible for spearheading venue interest in the newly-launch Ubiquity mobile platform, featuring the Mobile Fan Guide for stadiums.
He previously held Director of Suite Sales roles for the New York Jets, the University of Maryland and Washington Redskins. Michael was also on the start-up crew that brought the Washington Nationals to the Nation’s Capital. He served in a group and suite sales capacity and co-wrote the group sales business plan for the inaugural season when a franchise record 2.69 million tickets were sold.
Michael has also held positions with the Ice Palace Arena, New Orleans Saints Football Club & D.C. United Soccer. He serves on the Ohio University Alumni Advisory Board for the Center of Sports Administration and is a 1997 graduate of the Ohio University Masters Program for Sports Administration and Facilities Management. He currently lives in Burke, Virginia with his wife Erin (a fellow Bobcat) and their daughters Cara (6), Ellie (4) and recent addition Marianne.
