Ohio University is proud to be the birthplace of sports education (www.sportsad.ohio.edu) and now offers a six-week online ticket sales course designed to help students and professionals secure ticket sales positions with professional sports teams. The course has been designed with the input from some of the top ticket sales executives in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and Minor League Baseball who make up our Advisory Board. Instructors include Packy Moran and Jim Kahler, both members of Ohio University faculty, who together have more than 35 years of work experience in the sports business industry. Graduates of the course will receive a Sales Certificate from Ohio University and the opportunity to place their resumes and sales aptitude profiles in a proprietary resume bank designed by WorkInSports. Recruiters from Ohio University’s Sports Administration Alumni Association, along with teams that have a close relationship with WorkInSports, will have access to view the resume of each student who successfully completes the course.

If you’re looking for a way to separate yourself from the competition, this six-week course will provide you with the insight and training that sales recruiters are looking for. Some of the industry guest lecturers include:

  • Preparing for the Sale - Chad Estis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dallas Cowboys
  • Closing the Sale - Michael Stanfield, Vice President of Ticket Sales, New Orleans Saints
  • Getting Past the Gate Keeper - Jeff Eiseman, Vice President, Ripken Baseball

The course also serves as a scouting combine and will put your resume in play for ticket sales positions with every professional sports league in the country.
